"Value Our Valley" 2010 Local Job, Business and Health Fair

This year’s Black Mountain Swannanoa-Chamber of Commerce fair had thirty-one businesses represented at over 38 booths or displays. The beautiful day brought out many local residents to gather information, recycle their Styrofoam and get free hot dogs from the Owen Middle School baseball team. BiLo contributed 200 shopping bags and the Chamber provided a beautiful rocking chair from Bramblewood cottage for raffle. Bill Tegge of Swannanoa was the lucky winner. Everyone was a winner with lots of goodies and door prizes and good networking among businesses. The Greyline Historic Trolly was on hand to give free rides to all who wanted to see the Valley.

Lib Harper Scholarship

The Chamber would like to thank member business and individuals who have made a donation to the scholarship fund. The first $1000 scholarship will be awarded in May. To date, $320 has been contributed. Please consider making a donation. Tax exempt donations should be made to Buncombe County Schools Foundation and mailed to the Chamber.
